Accountability is a big thing. That’s why The Resume Rescue is now offering a new service: Job Search Coaching. Our founder, Angela Buccellato, will work with clients to make them comfortable and confident in applying their skills to a new job application. This is a great way to ensure that you stay accountable to your job search. The job market won’t wait for you, but you shouldn’t wait for it, either. There are plenty of opportunities out there, you just have to know where to look, and Angela can help.
What is Job Search Coaching?
At The Resume Rescue, getting people the tools they need to succeed is the number one priority. Whether a resume rewrite, interview prep, or anything in between, The Resume Rescue is the career services provider for you. With that in mind, the new job search coaching works to help job seekers connect with job opportunities. There’s a four part meeting series, a personality test, achievement/goal setting form, and more included in this service. While career coaching leans more towards ideation, understanding the career goals you set for yourself, the job search coaching tends to work more in the action field, getting the applications sent and the interviews scheduled. This service should not take the place of career coaching, but rather augment it.
The Four Meetings of Job Search Coaching
There are four meetings that entail the job search coaching service. First is a kickoff/introduction meeting, then an analysis meeting, followed by a market update and guidance meeting, and finally an open discussion and next steps meeting. These four meetings give a well-rounded and holistic approach to the job hunting market.
As an example, below is a more detailed overview of the four meetings, their purpose, and their outcomes.
- Session One: An introductory meeting designed to create a strategic plan for your career. Angela will discuss the career coaching form and the personality test you completed before scheduling the meeting.
- Session Two: Analyzing data to tailor your resume, based on your skill set(s), previous experiences, and future goals.
- Session Three: Providing a market update in the overall job market or a specific niche all while guiding you on searching for jobs with your new resume.
- Session Four: An open discussion regarding future plans, providing guidance on potential interviews, a customization of your resume for each individual application, and addressing any lingering questions.
